Join UC Riverside Staff Assembly’s Director of Finance Penni Ebina and Past President Dennis McIver for monthly Virtual Bingo!  The event will also include participants from UCDC/UCPath/UCLA/UCRRA/UCOP/UCSB/UCSF/UC Berkeley.  There will be two virtual sessions: A matinee session from 12 - 1 p.m. and the evening session from 6 - 7:30 p.m.

Join Campus Life Services for a Dungeon and Things virtual escape room!  A terrible thunderstorm caused a power outage and created a unique opportunity to go back in time and investigate the mysterious disappearance of kids that has plagued the small sleepy town of Lindale for decades. Work with your teammates to solve the mystery by exploring the virtual room, moving objects, and examining props. The more you work together as a team, the greater your chance of becoming the first team to solve the mystery.  Each member of the top three finishing teams will receive a $25 gift card!

UC TECH ASSEMBLY: BLACK LEADERS PANEL

This panel launches UC Tech Assembly series, which is expanding the former town hall series to better amplify the voices of UC Tech community members.  Our UC Tech community is diverse, and we all strive to create an inclusive environment at UC. A key part of being inclusive is listening to underrepresented voices. This UC Tech Assembly panel discussion will feature Black members of our UC Tech community from various levels of leadership. Topics will range from personal stories to allyship advice, to the value of diversity in tech. Time will be reserved at the end for a few questions.  Everyone is encouraged to attend to learn more about working in and supporting the diverse UC Tech community, and to celebrate Black History Month.

Did you know that you are allowed time for proffessional development?  Per policy PPSM-50, a regular status employee whose performance is satisfactory or better is allowed time for professional development.  You can read the policy on the UCOP policy website.  If you have any issues, contact Labor and Employee Relations, or your Staff Assembly Executive Board

In this course, negotiation and conflict resolution expert Kwame Christian shows how to apply a useful framework to open up an effective dialogue at work and facilitate understanding. Kwame highlights the barriers that make talking about race so challenging.Plus, Kwame shares general tips for talking about race, including how to avoid common pitfalls and talk to your kids about race and society.  Log in to LinkedIn Learning through your MyAccess in order to watch this free 16 minute course. 

PLANNING FOR TELEWORK AT UCSF

Review UCSF telecommuting guidelines and procedures for returning back to campus.  There are several resources available, including the My Telework Plan, to help you understand expectations and plan for steps to take in consulting with your leadership.   You will also find ergonomics resources as well as wellness programs.
