Andrea Graeser
Andrea, aka Dre among colleagues, has worked at UC for over 14 years and during this time completed two terms on the UCSF Staff Assembly Executive Board, most recently as a CUCSA Delegate for UCSF. As a clinical applications professional, they build and test changes to UCSF's electronic health record (EHR) and support Marin and UCSF community affiliate clinics that are going live with APeX for the first time. Before joining UCSF, they worked as an EHR manager at a community health clinic, a web programmer supporting public health research at UC Davis and research and business applications at UC Santa Cruz, and as a support group facilitator and on-call advocate for a nonprofit. Dre has been an active member on several committees focused on staff engagement since joining UC. Andrea brings this experience, technical skill, and educational training in social work and organizational development to contribute to cross-location committee work and advocate for staff, most recently as the Workgroup Chair of the CUCSA Compensation Workgroup for FY 23/24. As Past Chair, Dre's areas of focus are to continue to increase outreach, engagement, access, and collaboration opportunities between staff and UCSF leaders and with staff organizations at UCSF, create spaces for constructive feedback and listening sessions on issues impacting UCSF staff, and partner with staff organizations across UCSF and with CUCSA to enact positive changes identified and recommended by UC staff. Dre's leadership style is creative, motivated, kind, trusting, collaborative, and supportive.
