ABOG's Mentorship Program: pairing experienced UC San Francisco managers from academic departments and units, central administration, and the medical center with up and coming staff members seeking to learn more about management, leadership and to better understand the UC San Francisco organizational culture. The program provides a framework in which staff members cultivate contacts and increase their UCSF network of peers. The group will also find peer support and enhance effectiveness as they plot their personal growth and career paths at UCSF. In 2014, they hosted an ABOG mentorship alumni reunion. UCSF Staff Appreciation Events Are Held Throughout the Year! Beginning December 2014, FY 2014-15, staff appreciation celebrations were hosted at the Parnassus, Mt. Zion, Mission Bay, Laurel Heights, SFGH, and Mission Center Building campus locations.
Campus leaders were on hand to greet staff at each location, and employees enjoyed food, entertainment, and prizes. Previous random drawings have included: movie tickets, gift certificates for campus dining and shopping, San Francisco Giants tickets, and more! The year-round celebrations recognized the dedication and service of our staff and were the result of collaborative efforts between the UCSF Medical Center and campus.
