Emma Sebastian

Emma works for the Central IT managing and supporting applications that support Academic Affairs (Advance, APRecruit, OATS).  She is also an administrator for Wiki@UCSF.  Emma has been with the UC for more than 10 years, 8 with UC Office of the President (where she also served in the UCOP Staff Assembly for four years) and 2+ with UCSF.   Prior to joining the UC, she worked in IT for a variety of Bay Area companies like Schwab, ATT, PG&E.  She’s involved in various IT networking groups for agile and lean practitioners and complexity-thinking. 

Having an entity at work like the Staff Assembly is such a unique and exciting experience for Emma.   She’s learning about the differences and similarities of staff experiences across UC.  She believes that the collective energy of staff can bring about great changes to UCSF and the UC. 

Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, kickboxing, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. She also loves playing escape room board games with my family.
